This tour offers a range of features including hotel transfers, an air-conditioned coach and a delicious buffet lunch to enjoy in the park. An excellent day although very long

An excellent day although very long. Picked up on time, polite welcoming staff. Driver all day was excellent and informative . Breaks were good as you needed to stretch legs. Katherine Gorge cruise stupendous, well worth the trip. I could have done without the dinner stop on the way home and been home earlier but recognise that this might be too much for the driver. A wonderful experience.

My husband and I had a great experience on the Katherine Gorge trip

My husband and I had a great experience on the Katherine Gorge trip. Our driver Paul gave us informative commentary, kept things on time without being pushy and was generally really helpful. The only criticism we had was we didn't think the lunch we ate at Katherine Gorge was up to much.

The cruise on the Gorge was definitely the highlight of the day

The cruise on the Gorge was definitely the highlight of the day. Very entertaining driver - a must on such a long, long day as most of the day is spent on the bus and Paul did his best to make it an enjoyable trip. Only quibble with the tour is that the information received on the itinerary states that drop off at the hotel is around 8:30pm when in actual fact it was 10pm before I got off the bus (our arrival back in Darwin was about 9:30 but my hotel was near the end of the list). With the time the tour leaves Katherine there is no way 8:30 is even a possibility.

Oh boy

Oh boy, where do we start. Lets start with Paul our driver - he was on the go from our 6am pickup. Loads of energy with a coach load of tourists. Great Paul, you put the spark in our day. Our first stop was the WWII Cemetary at Adelaide River, then onto Emerald Springs truck stop where the owner Dallas makes the most delicious scones. Freshly made. Mouth watering. Then onto Edith falls, but time was short there this tour as we were behind schedule, but that meant, when we got to Katherine Gorge for lunch and our gorge boat tour we had the required time to take it all in. The scenery here is amazing and the staff at Katherine Gorge are amazing too. A must see. Then it was time to leave, and make our way back to Emerald Springs for dinner (you see this was a loooong day - we got back at 9.30pm), so stopping for dinner was a must and we weren't disappointed. Again, thanks Paul for making our day special.

We had an enjoyable day trip to Katherine gorge. The bus driver was very informative. Katherine gorge was spectacular. Food stops were all good. Although a very long day the bus was very comfortable and air-condtioned. AAT were very professional. Pick up was on time. Would have no hesitation to recommend this trip to other travellers.

We loved our full day trip out to Katherine Gorge
Madeleine 2 years ago

We loved our full day trip out to Katherine Gorge. The places we stopped along the way were fascinating. The guide was exceptional and the coach was very comfortable. We were able to purchase breakfast and dinner on top of having lunch provided and everywhere we went the food was delicious. The highlight of the trip however, was the 2 hour cruise of Katherine Gorge. It is beyond stunning and an experience that we will never forget. Thank you for a wonderful day.

It was a very long day but worth the effort
Allan 3 years ago

It was a very long day but worth the effort. The gorge was beautiful it was a shame the N.T. didn't have a big enough wet season so we could see more gorges. Again the bus driver adds to the day out with his knowledge about the area and historical and general information. The war grave memorial was again a moving place to visit. Loved it.
